Angus McDonald Podiatrist
Growing up playing a variety of competitive sports, Angus’ passion has always been in and around the human body and athletic performance. After dealing with a long history of injuries that were stubbornly ignored at the time, Angus McDonald wanted a career that allowed him to help get people back to optimal health and reach their true physical potential.
This passion saw Angus pursue certification as a Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach. He wanted to harness these skills so he could help people across a range of sports become better versions of themselves and to compliment his podiatry practice. Angus has helped people as the head coach of a strength & performance gym in Paddington and now also runs an online coaching business. He continues to be involved in an array of sports including rugby, soccer and athletics.
Angus McDonald uses his expertise in strength training & exercise prescription to compliment his podiatric skills in biomechanics. He prides himself on using these skills to accurately diagnose foot and leg concerns and treats his patients with individually tailored rehabilitation programs.
Alongside rehab consulting, you’ll find Angus is interested in all aspects of podiatry care as he’s a social butterfly and loves any excuse to sit and have a chat with someone. His bubbly, caring personality ensures a fun environment to be in whilst hitting your goals for a home run!
Outside of podiatry you’ll find Angus complaining about the current state of the Wallabies team, braving an afternoon beach swim and traveling (when there are no restrictions, of course).BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH ANGUS
THE MOVEMENT CENTRE
What to expect
A visit to the podiatrists of The Movement Centre will have you back on your feet doing what you love in no time.
When you arrive for your first appointment you will be asked questions about your concern and the history surrounding that issue.
Based on what you tell us, we will curate a set of tests and assessments to get to the bottom of your problem. We may even refer you for X-rays or ultrasound diagnostics if we feel they will give us valuable information.
Once we have a diagnosis of your presenting issue, we will look for the route cause and begin to address this through an array of treatments.
We often use treatments such as exercise therapy, orthotics, shockwave therapy, nail laser treatments, nail surgery, SWIFT microwave therapy, gait retraining and running training…
Our three podiatrists have a combined 25+ years since University and this experience means that you are in safe and knowledgeable hands.
PODIATRY | BECOME PAIN FREE & ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS
Keep moving & maintain an active lifestyle
At The Movement Centre we get a thrill out of keeping you on your feet, so that you can keep doing the things that you love. And no one is better able to keep you on your feet than our podiatrists. We have come to find that just like people, feet are ever evolving. As our lifestyles and our foot health changes over the course of our lives, so do our podiatry needs.
This is why podiatry at The Movement Centre is so dynamic. We care for families through their developmental years all the way up until the children move out of home and into the world. We see them move in and out of sports or interests, then in and out of occupations, all with different demands on their feet. The whole time our focus is movement. We help you to move the correct way, to move pain free and to move for a lifetime.
